Your patterns are deeper colored and so very pretty, and his ground color is really a wonderful golden yellow-orange that maybe subdues the pattern color? And the pattern in his sepals seems to extend toward the tips more. I can't wait to see what your next batch of seedlings using HEATHER GRACE look like!
I love heather grace... my name and all but moving forward is really showy and briar patch is great...and but now I see has a beautiful pattern...
Heather
Heather is a whole different color in the patterns than anything I have seen. Most of the patterens I have seen are more the basic color of mine. I used "But Now I See" this year and will see seedlings from it in the summer. I also want to use it with a couple other things of mine which I will start another thread so we don't get away from Larry. You can see that Larrys photo is lot darker than mine.
Michele,Kim,James and I made the trip to the Grace's yesterday, had record temps of 106 degree's, we melted, the daylilies looked great. We were about a week after peak bloom so did not get to see as much as I would have liked to. The photos are seedlings and I have no idea of the cross. This first bunch will be reds.
Purples patterens New Gossard Intro. Couple others.
Those are awesome seedlings! Hope you didn't have to go into a greenhouse with those temps -- instant sauna! I remember when my sis lived in Florida and we'd visit, and the outside temp would be something like 98 -- but with the heat index factor the Weather Channel said it was like 110 outside -- absolutely miserable! But I guess you guys are used to hot muggy weather and can take it in stride. I always felt like I couldn't quite catch my breath.
I'm fascinated with that next-to-last seedling. It makes a fantastic photograph with those rings! And the deep color on that last one -- to die for! They are all really amazing, and it's just too bad it had to be so hot while you were there.
I know I'm not used to it. I think it's more humid this year. Last year I was working outside all day even in July and Aug. Sure, it was really hot but it didn't seem as muggy. Now this year, come 10:30 I'm inside because it's miserable. It could be that we had such a cold and longer than normal winter and I got spoiled to the inside. Usually, I can work outside just about all winter.
No not really at it, but probably a good thing that we live in different states. Got back from Hattiesburg yesterday afternoon about 4:30. It was 106 degrees up there and 101 here when we arrived. They had the smallest show I can remember because of the dry weather and heat. The judging was finished an hour eariler than normal because of the lack of scapes. Some of the arrangments.
