I agree. You just have to keep an eye one them.

The raspberries I ordered are tame reds , I have a lot of wild blacks and they can cause problems in the garden so they are only allowed on the wild parts of the property.

My son sent me a couple of strawberry plants. He says the berries are pea to bean size. (Put on glasses) this is the first one:



I doubt I could sell baskets of them at Farmer's market, but they would look cute on top strawberry shortcake.

So glad I found this thread again. I built 2 new raised beds (3' x 8') and one is meant to be my new strawberry patch. Glad to see how many plants Horseshoe planted in his bed. I just ordered Earliglow and Seascape to fill my new beds. Like Cinda, I also had to request delayed shipping. They are talking about a small accumulation of snow again tomorrow night. This winter will just not leave

Normally by now I'd have planted peas and potatoes. Not happening unless I want frozen, soggy seeds/potatoes. Sigh......

Terrible winter. My peas are not planted yet this spring either.

That is my 7 month old Papillon puppy named Lily. My buddy for sure and I hope to have her as my garden helper come warmer weather and we spend more time outdoors.

Darn...I just got rid of some gutter I wasn't using.

I'm going to buy some, and put them on posts over my garden next year . Frustrating when you finally decide to stop being a packrat, Get rid of the gutters, and then.........

At least they went to a good cause...the friend of a neighbor was gonna have their elec turned off so I gave them to them to sell as scrap to help with the bill.

That was nice, but surprised they would sell. Hm, maybe I should look in the penny saver. Might even find yours.
