Is there a thread around here for that? I have some old windows and thought it would be neat to paint them, but I'm not sure what kind of paint to use. Is there anything that I can put outside --it would get lots of sun and rain of course. Do you seal them with something? Any ideas?
Thanks

Sand the window first, then prime it and then use any exterior paint.

You may seal it but if you like the aged look, don't.

I love old windows! Be sure to show us yours.

oh, I guess I wasn't very clear with my question, I am wondering how to paint the glass. I would like to paint the glass different colors, but use some kind of paint that is clear you-can still see through. Make sense?

Oh sure! Green Grin! Go over to Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's or Michael's and buy translucent class paint. Hurray! Hurray!

ok, will it hold up to outdoor weather or do I need to put some kind of finish over it?

It should hold up just fine but you can call the company (listed on the label) and ask them. I have used glass paint but if there is a lot of rain and snow, I am not sure.

I see you are in Springfield . . . I just shipped some Christmas ornaments there last week. It gets cold and wet there so I would check before you purchase the paint.

Dick Blick is a place I buy paints and here is the link to the glass paint:

The second section lists glass paints.
