What is your method of getting rid of these from your clems? I brought a seedling of Nelly M. inside and noticed the leaves are looking mottled, dry, & shriveled. I've read some of the posting but need more info.

don't know how to answer your spider mite question but an curious as to why did you bring it in? Isn't your climate warm enough just to protect it with a pot/fabric?

Anna, I just brought it in last week to water it before we went out-of-town and left it on the kitchen windowsill.

I am not sure if spidermites live in soil, but I would cut all unhealthy vine off. That is one of the things I like about clems....it doesn't need any green leaves to grow.
