I think of this as a holiday plant because it always starts looking festive starting around Thanksgiving, and by Christmas and New Years is covered in these white balls just starting. It gets wide thick and sprawly and I like to give it a good haircut in September to make it thick. In Summer in with good Sunlight but only for 3 or four hours and shaded in the afternoon the leaves almost look black and have an irredescent quality. I've had it for a few years; love it, and so do a few others around here. None of us know what it is!!! Smiling

I was able to identify it as Alternanthera dentata 'Purple Knight from your lead! Smiling
