Ooooooooo .... did you check out the "new" 2012 (?) seedlings page. I about fell out of my chair with shock and DELIGHT! Fantastic possible intros for the future. Certainly eye candy for daylily lovers! Amazing!!!!

This is why I love hybridizing .... the possibilities are endless .... and the results can sometimes be astonishing and totally unexpected! A single seed, so many results possible!
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.

The seedlings really have amazing eye patterns. I have to chuckle at the '14 named intro "What Does the Fox Say." The elementary school kids have been singing it getting off the bus and out trick or treating and I assumed it was a song they learned in school. lol
I just became aware of the video a few weeks ago. I'm always the last to know about these viral "sensations."

Lovely and can't have.
Looking at "Switched at Birth": What is the difference between a 'bicolor' and a 'reverse bicolor'? I'm still learning.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

I believe a reverse bicolor has the darker or main color on the sepals instead of the petals.

It's a very lovely daylily for sure. I really like Greetings Earthling. It is really different looking for a double. Have to wait till the prices are within reach though.

Oh I don't care when it comes to doubles or ufo's and spiders, I honestly prefer dips in those. So much easier to get pods to set on them.

Mike - It blew me away. I remember Bill Maryott stating he hoped the AHS video went viral. At 8900 views I guess Bill and officers need to don some costumes and start dancing. lol

Greetings Earthling is not a double form.....it is a sculpted cristate form Smiling Sculpted cristates are really different looking, be they dip or tet!

Have three of his seedlings that didn't make his "keep" cut, but I am delighted with them.
