Got those Fiskars a few days ago. Just tried them out on some dead branches on an old lilac bush. Worked great! They'll make short work of hacking back that rose bush. Smiling

If interested in a cobrahead, get on their email list. (Yes, I know we just love email.) I think it's a monthly newsletter. Anyway, every month they give away some of their tools. Being a paying customer doesn't matter.
They also include timely recipes for those who like to cook. Maybe have vegetable gardening advice. Not sure. No longer have a memory, short or long term. So maybe I'm not a reliable source of information. hahaha. (sad)

I've got long legs and stiff knees, which makes kneeling and getting up a bit difficult. Looked at some kneeler/seat things that looked rather flimsy and decided I didn't need the seat– just the kneeler. I'll use it in the outdoor garden and in the greenhouse.

So– I fossicked about in the garage and found an old cupboard door of mahogany-faced ply. From the box of leftover raft frame parts, I selected some SpeedRail joints and cut two pieces of aluminum pipe. Had a nice, thick old kneepad. So it fell together nicely.

You should put that in the "gardening ideas" forum, Chip - or else patent it and start selling them! Green Grin!

The garden kneelers are definitely a boon for those of us who have difficulty getting up off the ground; I've taken it one step further and now do a lot of my garden work using mine as a seat.

I love this one, and carry it in my belt while working our acreage. It's light, sharp and can be use for root cutting, twine cutting, digging, seeding, weeding, planting, etc. Kind of a swiss army knife for me. Smiling

That really does look very useful - what is it called, Steve? (and/or where do you find one of those?)
