This may not be news to anyone else but it's definitely the coolest thing I learned today. When you get those very fine hair-like cactus needles in your fingers, the ones you can practically not even see with the naked eye? A young man at the Botanical Garden where I work told me this morning (after I got some from a Prickly Pear fruit) to rub my finger through my hair.... it instantly took the sting away!!

Does that mean the fine hairlike needles are now in your hair and will get onto your pillow tonite? Confused

I wouldn't recommend it!
I have used duct tape in the past but it works so-so.

I don't think I have any plants like this, but wish this trick would work on raspberry prickers!

Funny you'd say that!

Never thought of taking a bite of a mammillaria but some of the smooth nude cacti do look delicious!

There's some rainbow variegated astrophytum on eBay lately, they look fruity!

Hetty,
Are you sure he didn't tell you to use some one else's hair? Rolling on the floor laughing Time to call the dog over for a pet. Thumbs down I know, I love pets too. How about some one you hate, Call them over to rub your hands thru their hair. Telling them it's good luck. Rolling on the floor laughing No I guess that would not work either. I got it, a cheap wig. That's the ticket.
