Though it is not officially Christmas yet, I do know my husband was such a good boy this year that he got a fire engine red (his favorite color) garden scooter from Garden Supply. My greenhouse kit arrived a few days ago. That is about all I could possibly ask for! Hurray! Oh! And we found a good price on a tool bench that we will be using as a potting bench just by chance on Monday. Garden gifts are some of the BEST! Merry Christmas to All Gardeners!

I consider all the bulbs (1946 - the total of just the tulips came to 1402!) I ordered/planted & the many bags of organic matter I bought to improve the soil, my Christmas gifts! Lovey dubby Hurray! Thumbs up

We are both looking forward to next Spring seeing them all in bloom! I've never planted that many bulbs before in one season.

Merry Christmas everyone!! It has been a wonderful, blessed, season so far (except for all that awful snow and then flooding).

No gardening stuff here. My husband and I bought a treadmill together before Thanksgiving, so we didn't get each other anything else.

I got a gel nails kit (love it!) from one daughter and her husband, beautiful earrings from my son (can't believe he searched online for earrings, wish I could have been a mouse while he was doing that!), and a very soft throw, the latest Nancy Drew PC game, and a Swiffer (yes! I wanted one) from my other daughter and her family.

And I got money from my Mom (yeah!!) which I am going to save until spring to buy daylilies. Where to put them, I don't know. But I am hoping a few of the ones I like least will find a new home at my daughter's house.

Best Christmas ever!
We don't do gifts but for once all of the bills are paid up to date and there is a full tank of oil to run the furnace....handy since it is currently -22 F.
I mortgaged the house to get myself a new to me car so I don't have to worry about being stranded on the highway in the cold coming from or going to work.

Best Christmas ever!!

There was a famous plant-lady in Naples Florida who married a very rich man and as a consequence traveled the world in search of rare and unusual plants. She made him take back a fancy piece of jewelry he had given her and asked him for a load of manure instead.... true story. Here is to Elsie Page!

Merry Christmas!

I gave the gift of seeds, all packed into a little basket with hand tools and gloves to my local gardening friend but for me, I received a real treasure, something I really really needed!

Cardboard!! The boxes, oh the boxes! There was the spinner (exercise thing) that my daughter received -- big cardboard box! And a huge flat screened TV that came packed in an outer box and an inner box -- two huge cardboard boxes! (I don't watch much TV, though my family does, so I got those boxes!!) And our dinner will be catered -- boxes to hold the food! And the boxes that came through the mail, more big boxes! And from a local grocery, because I asked very nicely and didn't have to beg at all, more boxes and already flattened!

See, I'm redesigning 3 small backyard daylily gardens for next season, lasagna style mostly, and I really need those boxes. Happy Happy Christmas to me. (It's the little things that really matter! Big Grin )

And Merry Christmas to all of you ~ wishing you your own supply of boxes!

I got a tricycle planter from my dad and a $100 gift certificate from DH to the foo foo nursery nearby. I usually only buy compost and topsoil from them. But I may save this for a new shrub to replace one that needs to go.

Merry Christmas everyone

Hi Trish.

I am a recluse and retiree. So I take advantage of the season and give presents to myself (and my 2 dogs). They got freshly made chicken jerky. I got a new Rotozip zip saw which I hope will serve well to cut moldings to repair my 100 year old windows.

Merry Christmas every one. Keep the inspirations coming.
