We got 2 inches of snow last night, after some freezing rain. But I'm not too worked up about it. The roads were clear and the snow will all melt by the end of today.

I'm more bummed it is going down to 22 tonight. But after that we should be out of the twenties until fall!

Best wishes to Karen and Jennifer. The weather can be depressing.

The winter was depressing. But I've had two weeks of working outside here and there. And I have already been shopping for new plants. So I'm actually over my depression!

Do not check the Farmer's Almanac's prediction for this summer! Unseasonably hot and VERY rainy. Just what we didn't need!

Went down to 18 last night. Even the daffodils look bad. Probably won't know how bad the frost damaged stuff until later today or tomorrow. Calling for down to 30 tonight

We were supposed to get down to 30 but they were exaggerating again. LOL. Only got down to 37, after I went out after work, as tired as I was, and grabbed tender perennials from the cold wind and rain. Sad

We ended up with a light covering of ice, not snow. Some daffodils are now looking down at the soil while others are erect, as they should be.

I have some flopped blooms as well. But only some ice on my porch steps which will melt as soon as the sun comes around. And in spite of the sun it is plenty cold out today. No gardening today I guess.

Ditto. Quite depressing. I feel as though we're constantly being punished for something we didn't do!

This wasn't too bad and it just has to be the last of it. I am ready for the warmth to return.

I bought four bales of straw at the feed store and want to mulch all my tomato beds with it where I will be planting my tomato seedlings. So now I have my straw but it is cold outside today.

We will be warming up after this. My local weather station has posted another freeze warning for tonight, but weather.com said it is only getting down to 38°. They were sure right about last night, if I had gone there for the weather I would not have gotten wet bringing in plants. Grumbling
50's for next couple days then 60's for a couple of more, then we will be in the 70's for a whole week! Hurray!

Warming up here, too, after our frost warning ends at 9 a.m. But nights still just in the 40s, still cold for coleus to live out there.

I am getting orders for rock garden plants.
The containers need to thaw out before I can plant.
Perennial orders too
Santa Rosa today and Bluestone tomorrow.
Weather should have evened out by then.

Cool here this morning. Feels just like yesterday. I had put a shipping date of April 21st (monday) on my plants from Territorial seed but they are here today! Oh brother, too cold for them.

I have noticed a terrible lack of communication with these nurseries. I was getting tender bulbs the first of March when it was 10°! LOL.
