We didn't get nearly as cold as was predicted here, thankfully. My clero's are still alive, and brugs still blooming in the cage, amazingly.
This week it's predicted not quite as cold, but to stay cold longer, which I find a little more of a problem. Covering at night and uncovering for the daytime is a pain for 5 days in a row. Plants that are forced into dormancy by cold temps can take a month or more to get moving again. A longer cold snap cools off the ground, and sends more plants to sleep, I fear.
My salad greens, carrots and beets will love the cool weather, though.
