Susan, I had those petunias one year but when the hot weather came, (we don't get that much) the flowers turned all green. Then when it cooled they turn back to normal. I didn't really care for that, really throws a basket off.

I was just having the same problem with seeds yesterday that were loose in the envelope. Grumbling Grumbling
Makes it hard to get them in the right place. I have had seeds that were pelleted and got smashed because the company didn't put them in a box or bubble envelope. Double Grumbling

Like to see that red Penstemon when it blooms.

Julia, that is weird about the color difference. They are supposed to be for zone 9-11 so I would think they could handle a little hot weather. It's ok, I am getting other stuff and I am looking at some nice trailing Petunia's for a hanging basket. I am just so excited about the new varieties that don't get rain damage like the old ones. The GIOCONDA SERIES have extreme weather tolerance in temps between 23° and 104°F. And most are pelleted.

I have ordered from Everwilde and was pleased with their packaging and service.
No back orders and seeds were sent promtly.

I won't order from Tand M because of the short fall in number of seeds caused by the bad packaging.
When I complained----they sent me the same thing as I had complained about!?

I like the smaller seed companies which seem to take pride in their seeds and service.

I saw them at swallowtailgardenseeds, talk about mind boggling. They have 72 upright petunias and 61 trailing petunias. It was major eye candy!! Drooling

I go crazy looking at all Swallowtail has to offer!

I got the same thing with T&M when I complained, the exact same thing sent again! It's terrible with seeds being so expensive any more.

I will take photos of the red penstemon. I planted some of the seeds yesterday.

Swallowtail is a great place to buy seeds. Looked at the GIOCONDA SERIES and would like to try them but I have too many petunia seeds right now. Maybe next year. Susan, if your try them keep us posted on how they do. Says they are good to 23 degrees and keep blooming. Hurray!

I might just wait till next year also. I got enough seed already. I forgot to mention that I got some DESERT ROSE and AURORA YELLOW AMARANTHUS from SEEDVILLE USA on Amazon.com.
