I thought it a good idea to post a list of the vegetable families. That way you can determine what would be the best companion for each. This is a big help to me in planning my garden each season.

1) PEA/LEGUME: All peas & beans

2) GOOSEFOOT: Beets, Chard, Spinach

3) MUSTARD: Cabbage, Broccoli, Collards, Kale, Brussel Sprouts, Radish, Cauliflower,
Kohlrabi, Turnip, Rutebega, Cress, Horseradish.

4) PARSLEY: Carrot, Parsley, Celery, Parsnip

5) NIGHTSHADE: Tomato, Potato, Eggplant, Peppers

6) GOURD: All Summer & Winter Squash, Pumpkin, Watermelon, Canteloupe, Cucumber

7) COMPOSITE (aka ASTERACEAE): Chicory, Endive, Salsify, Lettuce, Dandelion,
Jerusalem & Globe Artichoke, Sunflower

8) LILY: Onion, Garlic, Leek

9) Grass: Sweet Corn

10) Mallow: Okra

Thanks for the list. I will refer to it when planting.
