The North Jersey Orchid Society is holding their annual show right now again at the Strawberry Blossom farm in Wayne, NJ , ongoing to Sunday.
It is only a 20 minute drive from my house, which is nice too!! So I spent a few hours looking at the beautiful Orchid displays, chatted a bit and bought a couple of Orchids. It was a fun day, especially in the middle of Winter.
I took a few pictures - hope you enjoy them!



The first picture shows a nice head of hair - it is Epidendrum porpax v alba. Isn't that plant awesome? And the third picture shows a Mediocalcar decoratum of incredible size!

Thanks for the show! Always good to see orchids at this time of year. That Tie Dye looks like water spots. To each his own...

Carol, the Tie Dye did have very spotty leaves, but the blooms were spectacular.

Yes, it was really nice to walk into that nursery and look at pretty orchids.

Unless I break both legs! Of course I'm going. By then I should know what needs replacing. Top shelf got up to 97 yesterday while I wasn't paying attention. I sure hope this isn't the beginning of summer!
