This Blc. Copper Queen has now been in bloom for nine weeks and still looks great. It is now by far my champion bloomer! The 'Emerald Isle' has also been in bloom, but there are enough pictures of my "mother" plant's flowers already posted. My Slc. Fire Magic 'Nora' has now been in bloom for almost six weeks. She lost her top sepal before opening and the scar is still there. That's the first time for her to bloom for me.

Other than the Oerstedella centradenia's in bloom, things are pretty sparse here - just very cold.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.

Unfortunately( or is it fortunately?), I sell most of them before they have a chance to get large. My problem is that I continue to buy more and each time I buy some, it is more than the time before! Oddly enough, I spent some of the afternoon (its too cold to be out) updating all my records of orchid purchases, those that I have bought over the last two years. It is eye-opening. I bought 50 plugs in Feb. 2012, 75 in June, 150 in Nov. Then in 2013, I purchased 120 plugs and two flasks (probably 50 in the flasks) in Mar. and 150 plugs and two more flasks in September. When I started this "tiny" business and purchased that original 50 plugs, I really wondered how in the world I would sell 50 orchid plants. LOL Keep in mind that when I started in September, 2011, I only had my own collection of orchids, and though there were not many, they were all blooming size. Thus I literally started from scratch with the "baby" ones in February, 2012.
