Thank you Jean and love the banner. I'm still kind of sort of new here,... and maybe have taken banners for granted.Thanks for reminding me, and I will be paying more attention in the future. Its a fact!

@DavidofDeLand I am always amazed at the creative things you do with plants and containers. Do you ever sell your creations at the Wednesday market? We don't usually go over there, but it would be worth it to see more of your ideas.

I'm going to start doing that Jean. I love our Farmers and Flea market, and have been thinking about it forever!

@DavidofDeLand Good for you! When you start, be sure to let me know. Although we aren't here full time, if we are away we will be there the next time we are here. We are practically neighbors. You once mentioned you lived on West Howry -- that means you must live somewhere between Woodland and Woodward. We are closer to Woodward off of Stevens.

We are up near Spring Garden at the end of West Howry. We are in the older and not fancy (however very well built!) past Stetson Heights Estates area. The Stetson Mansion is right around the corner and where my house sits used to be where the Orange groves used to be many Moons ago....; and isn't it sad that the Stetson Mansion sits in the middle of such a dumpy area these days! It will never sell at 7 Million or so with the views one would have from the third floor these days. Too bad something that incredible wasn't on a beautiful waterway like the St. Johns or Blue Springs huh? Now, and on the third floor looking out you see 'Speedway' Spring Garden and a convenience store. Oy vey!

Anyways, its pretty over here in the old Orange groves, (I'm trying!) and I even think old Stetson himself would find some beauty in it if he were here on occasion. maybe!

Stop by sometime! I would of course like your first visit to be in Spring around April or May when I have more beauties to share!

@terrafirma Thanks so much. I am always struck that you can find so many beautiful flowers growing wild -- we found these growing along a back road in the four corners area. To me, traveling the back roads is always fascinating. You never know what you will find.

@DavidofDeLand It is a shame about the Stetson mansion. When we first moved here, I had trouble with it and the DeLand House. It seemed natural that the Stetson mansion would be over by the University and the DeLand house would be elsewhere, however that's not the case. The Stetson Mansion needs to be in a lovely setting to show it off, not where it is now!

The Stetson house would suit the Stetson University area perfectly.

No. These were found in the four corners area in Colorado. It's Colorado's state flower if I'm not mistaken.
