As a comment about Rose (Rosa 'Ink Spots'), Newyorkrita wrote:

A very nice small-flowered, high-centered, dark red with hints of black hybrid tea. It is one of the dark, dark reds that I grow in my south side rose garden. Just as most of my roses, Ink Spots requires spraying with a systemic fungicide here in my humid garden. Otherwise, it will come down with blackspot.

I'm surprised to hear the rose described in this way because the blooms on my Ink Spots are just as large as most other hybrid tea blooms.

They seem smaller to me. I will have to check again this summer but that is what I remember. I don't mean that the flowers are tiny, just smaller.

I guess it depends on the other roses that are close to it. Smiling The blooms could look small if they were next to First Prize or California Dreamin', for instance, because those blooms are huge!
