Thread OP

your dates are so wrong for us. if I planted sweets before it stops freezing or temps are not above 80degrees the slips would be goners. Slips are not even ready prior to June 15.

Would you care to share what zone you're in? Type of climate, etc.?

Yes, please! We do want to make the information on this site as accurate as possible. If you are referring to a town named Cottonwood, there's more than one. There is a Cottonwood in Idaho, as well as one in Arizona, and one in Alabama. And I'm sure there are more!

Oh, we all forgot to add the @elukai to bring the poster's attention to our replies.
In my book of maps there are 7 states with a Cottonwood listed.

(If I haven't made any errors) Our ATP calendar says to set out sweet potatoes:
AL - Mar 21 - Apr11
AZ - Apr 24 - May 15
CA - - Feb 22 - Mar 14
ID - Jun 9 - Jun 30
MN- May 13 - Jun 3
SD - May 16 - Jun 6
TX - Apr - Apr 22

Gosh, now I am hungry for sweet potato fries!

Huh. That's interesting. I wouldn't have thought Idaho's dates would have been so much later than Minnesota or South Dakota.
