Here's a new link a friend told me about: http://nwf.org/nativePlantFind...

I haven't explored it much yet, but it looks really neat. It lets you find native plants for your area and find out which butterflies use them as host plants. There's also a feature allowing creation of a personal list, which will be handy when I want to figure out which caterpillar is on one of my plants, etc!

My go-to native guidebook is 'Plants of the Pacific Northwest Coast' published by Lone Pine. I take it along with us when camping and hiking, as well as when out exploring our back woods. Their web site shows several others specific to different regions: lonepinepublishing.com
