I was cruising around looking for info on jasmines (prompted by Lynn) and found this link. I thought it interesting enough to post and wonder - since there are vast differences in USDA zone 9 environments - what you think of some things on the list.

Good link, Alma.
My vines that are blooming: Bower and Snail. Both are covered in blooms! And my morning Glory (Blue Dawn and Grandpa Otts) are growing with a few blooms. My hyacinth bean is growing fast, no blooms yet.

Most of my flowers are blooming, too many too list. But the Vinca are especially pretty this year with the white star center, my Hollyhocks, Purslane, Portulaca, Lisianthus, Zinnias, Gazinas, Gardenia, and Salvia are doing great!

Boo, thanks for that reminder about lisianthus! I love that plant and I need some, I can see. Same with the salvia. Mine always reseeded, but this year not so much. Seems like I should just go buy some. I'm going to look for purslane and hope I find some near me. Summerwinds is not on my travel agenda.

Alma, be sure to let me know where you get the purslane...my SW only carries 2 colors. They do have lots of 99 cent packs of summer blooms though.

Wonderful pictures Becky and an interesting site Alma. This is a picture of my coneflowers with my Euphorbia continifolia, Burgundy Wine, behind it. I just bought a 2nd one of these Euphorbia's. They have such wonderful color and in the fall it makes you think it really is fall! Hurray! I have had it for a couple years. They are very hard to find here. I bought them both at Mesquite Valley Growers.

Linda I think you have inspired me to try Euphorbia continifolia again. I am assuming it is in a pot? How often do you water it?

Pretty Jo. Yes, that is Grandpa Otts. Your rose silk is gorgeous. Would you save a few seeds for me?

My bean isn't blooming yet...too hot maybe.
