When the MG blooms fall off they create a dry pod...you have to harvest before they open up and scatter themselves but not until they dry on the vine. Kinda tricky.

Thanks, Susie...It may look orange in the picture but is very red in person. Is it not a Penstemon? (I should be blonde,,,,well...actually when I was young they used to call me Jody Blonde....I guess that explains me). LOL Jo

You're right. It is Penstamon... looks like the tubular flowers on my Coral Fountain plant.
(I just had my hair dyed brown)
