Hi,
I noticed that the data sheet for Sisryrinchium montanum, a common plant of the dry northern prairies, suggested that it might be used as a water garden plant. This piqued my curiosity... Is there anyone around who can add to this? How are you using it in the water garden?

I don't have any plants of this species, but I am growing S. californicum and S. striatum in water, so perhaps I'd also be able to grow this one in my pond.

I found a site that even says to be cautious in planting S. striatum near wet areas (implying invasiveness) so it makes sense that that one would certainly be at home in the wet.

Hmmm, I've never thought of S. montanum particularly as a wetland plant, but eFlora of North America does note it not just in grasslands but also in moist meadows and along streams. Interesting...
