I didn't resize the photos (thinking that the site do this in the best way). But on viewing the photos, they appear too big which makes it somewhat difficult to see them. Of course the size of the display can be controlled with the "CTRL" and "-" to decrease or "CTRL" and "+" to increase the size displayed.
Today in the
The thread "Youngia genus" in Wildflowers forum
I wanted to put a vertical shape photo (portrait) and it was to large to view easy.
I did some experiments on resizing photos.
(If unused photos, in topic, are not automatically deleted it might be some photos orphan lost inside the site. I'm sorry about that.)
I find that if the size of photos are reduced, somewhere between 500 and 600 pixels, they appear more convenient to be viewed. At least on my screen.
The problem is that I do not know how they are seen on other computers.
Perhaps I set my browser to display the photos too large, and maybe they appear too small on others computers.
If compare the two mentioned topics, which is better?
Justin

Justin, Dave told me the best size for photos is about 900 pixels, works very well for me.

A photo of 900 pixels wide looks perfect on my screen, and most others, as well.
