I picked all ripe tomatillos today. This is what one plant produced:

And these came from second plant:

BUT, second plant is still producing, first plant wilted and I pulled it up. Now, second plant gets more sun. It was squeezed between plant one, and a tomato plant, and didn't get much sun

I do use them in salsa.
About 1 lb tomatoes
4 tomatillos
1 medium onion
2 skinless chili's of choice
1 teaspoon salt
Fresh cilantro or 1 teaspoon dry

Grind up in food processor, and drain thru sieve
Use juice for soup, or whatever you like
What's your recipe? I love salsa!

I don't have a recipe as such. Have to have cilantro, onion, cumin, garlic, and lime juice. After that, it is any combination of canned tomatoes, canned tomatoes with jalapenos, fresh tomatoes, fresh Anaheims and Jalapenos, Vietnamese Chili sauce--whatever I happen to have in the cabinets if I can't get to the store and really, REALLY want something resembling salsa. Whistling Hilarious!

Adapt a posole recipe.
Stew some chicken in it.

Saute white onion, butter, garlic. Add chicken broth and tomatillo juice. Simmer 15 minutes. Cool and freeze to make a winter soup later.

I made pizza dough with it for the Greek pizza I like. The dough is not green, but tastes like sour dough.

Oh, YUM!

Sorry about the limes, but you know there has been a shortage of them and folks are hoarding what they have. Whistling Hilarious!
