This is my first post in about a month due to some medical problems with Kathleen who is doing much better now, not only are the daylilies getting back to normal but so are we.
As you can see I have lots of clean up work to do in the seedling beds.

Potted plants are also looking pretty good also.
Most of these have been cleaned and surflan sprayed to prevent weeds.

Fred, hugs to Kathleen. Glad she is better. Smiling More cleanup than is usual for you given the unexpectedly cold temperatures. But we can see you have it well in hand. Looking forward to more photographs as the season progresses. Thumbs up

Group hug Fred… glad to hear Kathleen is doing better.

They say spring is on the way! Looks like you have some growth down there on your daylilies! Mine still have snow on them with more to come in the next few days.

Can't wait to see the seedling pictures! Green Grin!

I agree I agree

Really good news that everything is improving for you guys! And spring is soooooo close now, if only that polar vortex thing will just bug out now! We're finally getting some rain here in Bakersfield, but I know we'll still be way low on our water levels here in California. Every little bit helps!

I'm dying to see some 2014 bloom pictures, so I sure hope it warms up all over the country now. We were up to as high as the low 80's for a while until yesterday, and I've already broken out the bermudas! So here's wishing for warmer spring-like weather for all of us!

We are sorry to hear that Kathleen has been under the weather but glad to hear that things are looking up in that area. Take care of yourself, Kathleen!

This has been a heck of a winter for almost everyone, it seems. We must remember that spring WILL get here. Most all of our daylilies look as though they are dormants. The evergreens have taken a beating this winter. I'm optimistic that all will be fine once spring gets here.

Thanks everyone.

Not all the potted plants made it, I am guessing I lost about 25% of what I potted up last fall. The ones in the photo are on the south side of my barn, lost very few of them, but I discovered yesterday while removing dead foliage the ones in the main pot area with no protection was hit pretty hard. On a good note I lost none in the boxes or none of the seedlings in the ground.

Fred, hope Kathleen continues to improve. Sorry about your plant loss, I hate to see what mine might be this year.

Hang in there ~Jan
