Great article. I tried Viva Italia a few years and I think our cool growing temperatures affect the taste, a bit bitter. For our growing conditions, the best tasting paste tomatoes have been Mamma Mia, La Roma, Roma VF and the odd shaped Polish Linguisa.
Matina has larger fruit than Stupice and a very similar taste. Matina is fairly early and a potato leaf variety

Like the idea of a taste test. I will suggest it to my Garden Club!
