Some of you already know of my quest to obtain this tomato from DG. A DGer in San Antonio has obtained the coveted plants and will hopefully mail them this week. They are 4-5" tall and I think he is sending me 18 plants. If they all make it here in one piece I will have plenty to share if you all want to trial this new hybrid. I know Dan and Rene want to try them and Rene had a good point... Dan - do you think if we wait until the swap for you to pick up plants will that give you enough time? All I know is they are determinate early mid-season, so I'm estimating 70 DTM maybe? If April 10th is too late I told Rene I would meet her halfway and give her the plants for you east siders... What do you think?

I have room for one or two if they are up for grabs. I can meet you in town whenever. Thanks Kelly.

I would like to trial one in my e-bucket if there is an extra one. I would also be happy to chip in on the shipping expense you incurred. If there is one for me, Mary can you pick it up. I am heading over to California for the week.
The reason most people fail instead of succeed is because they give up what they want most for what they want at the moment.

No biggie - I think I will have to force this person to let me reimburse him for the plants and shipping, so I'll let you know. He wants pepper seeds - lol - and those I have...

Kelly, I'll buy one or two if there are enough to go 'round. You do realize, don't you, that meeting up with everyone is going to be a scheduling nightmare? Blinking

LOL Alma - it can be worked out... The plants were mailed yesterday after some tutorial from the Plant Trading forum at DG. My friend isn't too confident in shipping plants but I told him they'd be fine. Tomatoes are tough plants so hopefully they make it here in one piece - maybe tomorrow...

I'M SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

The tomatoes arrived today and with the exception of 2 broken leaves (out of 18 plants) they look like I just picked them up at the nursery. The packing job was excellent and it took me a while to unpack them as I was trying to be careful - lol. I took some photos and will try to upload them tonight after I get the babies potted up.

The tag that came with them says - Matures in 75 days. A medium-maturing variety that produces high yields of large and extra-large fruit. Heat tolerant.

Let's hope this is a good one for Phoenix! I know Dan, McP, Rene, Jayne and Alma want some. Anyone else?

Final one...

They are about 5-6" tall in little peat pots with a real sandy soil mix. I'm going to pot them up in the styro cups right now, leaving the little pots because they have pretty good roots growing through them. They look like nice healthy plants!
