I'm really hoping the clematis from Brushwood are a good size, because smaller ones from coops have not survived for me. I don't know if it's the freakish weather we've had the last 3 years or my gardening skill. The clematis I buy in 1 gallon pots with roots coming out the bottom grow wonderfully. I kill off quite a few baby roses, too. It might be a lack of protected sites in my garden combined with too many days away from home.
This year should be better because I'll have automated watering, and theoretically, I'll have fewer new plants to baby since I filled all the beds to capacity last year.
