this is a perennial volunteer weed with cute little blue flowers in the spring.
anyone know what it is?

I believe that's called Persian Speedwell, Veronica persica.

I swear it is a perennial though...same plant in the crack between the tree trunk and the mat mulch, year after year.

Where it grows, it reproduces easily from seed.
