I've allowed a variegated form in my garden. It doesn't bloom as profusely as the plain green, but I don't care... This is mostly a foliage garden out on the edge of the pasture.

I am trying to purchase the Katrina African Lily and can not find a garden center that has it. If anyone knows an online source please let me know? Thank you so much.

It's great to see you and to learn more about another kind of iris. I was recently told that these are the irises that are grown in the planters in shopping center parking lots.

After reading this thread I'm going to have to look into African Irises! I have a couple areas that don't get much water and maybe these would do well there!

Monrovia wholesale Nursery grows it, and it's listed at Armstrong . I'm not sure which region you're in. Search Dietes 'Katrina' and you'll find more.

Nearly every nursery (around here) has the one I posted a photo of. It grows everywhere here and it's pretty much bullet proof. The only problem I've had with it is moving some clumps under some pine trees. They all died it that location, so I dug up some more and planted them a little further away and they are doing fine.
