With a brand new baby in the house we had to skip last week's podcast, but we're back now! In today's episode we get caught up on the usual goings on, and we discuss a few common gardening mistakes (and how to avoid them!) We also have a bonus segment today on our Pinboard of Bad Ideas!

I hope I am not being too forward but I really like your podcasts. They are the only ones I have listened to. But I wanted to make one observation - I don't want to offend and you most certainly can ignore me of this is out of line.

Sometimes you dwell on a subject, sort of chatting back and forth, somewhat past the point of giving the information you want and I kind of lose interest. And example would be the wood chips idea. Great idea And I looked up a local sawmill who sells chips and will be getting some for my garden. But it sort of went on and on. I was really charged up for the next topic "garden mistakes" but sort of gave up.

Please please don't take offense. I love ATP and have learned so much and in particular looked forward to the pod casts. Perhaps I am expecting a different format. It is indeed like sitting in your living room chatting about things, weeding, kids, what got planted, what got killed by a surprise early frost, etc. Which is really a neat format.

You're not being too forward and we really love all the feedback we get; it helps us improve.

I know we can sometimes veer off course and stay off course for too long. Finding the right balance of being too terse (and ending up with a 10 minute podcast) and being way too off topic (and getting a nice long show) is difficult and we're always trying to be aware of striking that right balance.

Thankfully there's two of us and that means that there's twice the chance that one of us will realize we need to get back on track!! Hilarious!
