I'm sorry, but quite a few of these Outsidepride photos are misidentified... ! Shrug! Sad

Here's what Marrubium vulgare looks like - note the leaf shape and small white flowers:
http://www.google.ca/search?q=...

These flowers are a Lamium species. Note the hoods and elongated lip.
The leaf veination and pebbly texture aren't quite right for Lamium orvala (see below):

I'd say it's the wild form of Lamium maculatum (that is, not any of the fancy leaf colour forms we all grow, but the form that appears in nature):

Any other thoughts on the ID?
Thanks,
Lori

No ideas whatsoever Lori - I'm sorry.

It can even be deleted if you want.

I'll pull @zuzu into this as I don't have rights or ability to move or delete plants but you really need to use the move or delete option in the plant db. I don't know who told you that you need to comment but that isn't true. All you have to do is propose to move or delete and then we will both be notified when it's done.

and no apology needed. I'm grateful you are catching all their errors - good for you and thank you Thumbs up

Lori's doing the right thing, Vic. If she simply proposed moves and deletions, I'd still have to contact the original posters of the images to see whether they have better ID's.

This is the right forum for this. Her question automatically contacts you, as the owner of the photo, and it also alerts the admins, who keep track of this forum.

No need to apologize, vic. Anyone who contributes as much to the database as you do is bound to have a few errors, it's true of anyone who has contributed anything of consequence. Thumbs up Us admins should have caught them the first time around, but some inevitably get by. It's not hard to fix. Smiling

Has the photo been deleted? What was there about the plant that didn't match Lamium maculatum?

I removed the Marrubium photo, but the only Lamium photo in the post was yours, Lori.
