Everything is looking very beautiful, DN! It is so nice to have pretties waking up! Love that peony... I have two that I have planted in previous years, they are still babies but maybe this year I'll get some blooms. Here's hoping!

I'd rather have lilacs =) We had Peony's in IL. I remember they smelled wonderful and were beautiful. But if it were a choice here, I'd rather be able to grow bushes and bushes of Lilacs =)

I'll be sure to post pics of Miss Kym lilac when she's blooming as well as the roses. The roses are greening up nicely. Not John Davis might have lost some canes and there is one mini (to remain nameless for now so I don't jinx it) that might think it's dead although I'm hoping it's just almost, mostly dead Sad

Can't wait Dahlianut! Love my Lilacs. One year I was able to go to Trader Joes and get a whole HUGE vase full. They filled my kitchen full of wonderful fragrance. Haven't seen them at Trader Joes since :(

I've got buds on my little lilac, but the real show is always across the street from us... huge bushes. They'll be blooming soon! I always cut some to bring in the house... it's town property but I feel like the huge property taxes that we pay more than cover a few branches of blooms... in fact, that could be the most expensive bouquet ever, LOL!

They grow in the city lanes here. I feel I've earned them as I whack the weeds in the lane. Behead a few lionus dandii over there and you will earn yours too.

I ♥ lilacs too Alan! My grandparent's old farmhouse and my parents' house in Maine have bushed 100+ years old. I remember waking up with the scent wafting through my 2nd story bedroom in the mornings...

When I retire I may move down to Tombstone, I know they grow there =) Much lower maintenance than my roses too...hehehe

Hehehe...I love Tombstone. I almost bought a B&B there several years ago, beautiful old Victorian home, the only original one still left from a fire many years ago, in the downtown area. She had a beautiful courtyard set up with apple tree's, lilacs, and nice shady sitting area's. Also a veggie garden that she used to grow food for the only meal she servered, breakfast. Just completely charming. She wouldn't budge on her price, I think because she was to in love with the home. Then a couple of years ago, she ended up selling it for less than what I had offered her, because here husband was ill, dieing of cancer, and she needed to make the sell. I was so darn mad at her...hehehe. I could have made it even more beautiful than it was. But looking back, what with teh economy the way it is and all, I guess someone was watching over me. The B&B is now closed, and is looking a little run down. Sad really Sad

Maybe you can get it for a song Alan... I really like Tombstone and that whole area myself. When I first moved to AZ my ex was in the Army and we were stationed at Ft. Huachuca. Lovely area.

Can't wait to see pictures of your lilacs... if I lived in an area where I could grow lilacs I swear, that is ALL I would grow... I love them so much... they are beautiful, delicate, and the fragrance goes without saying Lovey dubby
