I mentioned before that many blooms don't like to open on cool mornings, in my experience this is even if they are in full sun. So that makes me wonder if there are some that would bloom reasonably well in shade as long as the morning temps are warm, say in warmer zones.

This the first and second blooms of the shaded KING LAMONI I mentioned earlier. They are reblooms from the same clump. The latest one is today. They are darker blooms than ones on clumps in full sun. The flower is normal size but the clumps are smaller in number of fans and the heights of the fans.

The following bloom is the bud above.

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Could be Gleni. Do you have earwigs in Australia?? Here the earwigs love to just sit inside the flower bloom.

I sometimes have damage on blooms like that also, I have never really known the cause.
