Yep, they are biennials... Mine grew exactly like your's Alan. I heard if you plant them early enough in the fall you may get blooms the next spring but mine didn't. I planted them Oct 2009 and no blooms until now.

Very pretty. I'm getting into daylilies. I like the red one! I was at the AZ Daylily tour last Sunday and stopped by Lyle's. His got some kind of operation going there with hundreds of gorgeous daylilies in bloom. Wonderful!
