Sounds like a good plan. I love Mimosa. When I was a kid, I called it a powder puff tree and it was my favorite tree to climb.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

I'd be scared to death to let anyone climb this tree, the wood is so brittle. It is still pretty young though. Maybe it will toughen up when it get more age on it?
The one I climbed was a mature tree and I quit climbing it when I was about 8 years old. I knocked a wart off my knee and decided I was too clumsy to climb trees and my tree climbing days were over.
