I cleaned up my large asparagus patch yesterday. It was windy so I wasn't able to burn the pile of stalks but will as soon as the wind isn't blowing. Now I need to deal with the many thistles that are growing there this year.

Today my BFF is going to stop by and we are going to sit in my She Shed and visit. It is her choice of where we sit.

I finished cleaning out the last three beds today… I'm done! Hurray! I potted up some hellebores seedlings for a friend. I also got most of my yard art out and cleaned out my garden shed yesterday.

What a pleasant day my friend and I had visiting. Hurray! DH even joined us after a bit even though he had to hop on his walker. (Not suppose to put weight on his right leg yet after 4 surgeries on the same knee). Maybe April 15th??

Later after company left, the wind calmed so I burnt my large pile dried foliage. Glad to get that burnt before the winds pick up.

Rose, you got a lot done yesterday! Yay on getting the last of the beds done Hurray! About yard art - I have a friend who dries her laundry outside and it gets draped over all kinds of garden things - trellises, chairs, benches, and the like. We jokingly call it her "yard art". Also, I had a very large, very yellow piece of "yard art" sitting just beyond my Cherry Tree Nook before Mike finally moved it after years of asking - it was a broken down commercial grader Rolling on the floor laughing On a serious side, I have quite a few nice pieces of real yard art and I think they add so much to a garden.

Jeanne, a she shed! How fun! Glad you enjoyed the visit with your friend.

I spent the entire day yesterday on a road trip with two of my Mid Atlantic gardening friends to two amish nurseries in East Earl, PA - in the heart of Lancaster county. Mike drove us in his big boxed in service truck. It is a 5 hour round trip, plus all the shopping, so it was a long day. The three of us filled that truck up!!! Quite a few shrubs, cart loads of perennials, annuals, vegetables, and herbs, and potting soils and compost. My friend got 8 big bales of a pro-mix type potting soil. We also had 35 cubic foot bags of Espoma potting mix, mushroom compost, and composted manure. Everything is so much cheaper there than it is locally.

Today I aim to do quite a bit of weeding. I'll let you all know how it goes...I'm hoping to finish up the last of it for my wildflower garden. I've done a lot of work on it this month! Hurray!

The last two days I've been weeding one bed. I could still do more but I think it's time to tackle another one that's pretty bad. I think I fed a few mosquitoes and those nasty gnats are starting to show up🤬

Wearing one bed? I really need to get better at proofreading before I hit finished😂 I probably did have a lot of sand and dirt on me when I was done though.
