I very seldom can get blue bonnet to grow, though I live in Texas. When they do, they never really bloom, just go to seed. Anyone know what's wrong with this plant?

I don't think it is a Lupinus texensis, it might be Lupinus breweri

That certainly looks like it. It's not unattractive unless its mistaken for bluebonnets. Thanks
