That's awesome Lynn!
My anemones of the coronaria variety did well for about three years...I have a few straggling remnants left at this point.

Mine have been almost evergreen. I wonder if it helps to divide them? I will give that a try, as the one in the middle of the bed is interfering with some of the semps. Thanks for the info Dirt.
Hmmmm, makes me wonder if I need to feed them?

Maybe? I know that many other anemone relatives like to be fed and mulched. I think dividing will surely help big clumps though!

Dirt, you are inspiration and are the reason for many new plants in my garden. Group hug
Others here have also inspired me to find and try new things.
Your wonderful little Veronica is one of them. I just got an email from Wrightman telling me that they ended up with three extra Veronica Veronica bombycina ssp. bolkardaghensis, so I ended up adding to my above order.
Allium flavum v. minus
Calluna vulgaris 'Firefly'
Calluna vulgaris 'Yellow Beauty'
Cerastium alpinum v. lanatum
Eunomia oppositifolia
Potentilla megalantha
Veronica bombycina ssp. bolkardaghensis

I am so happy to be able to get that wonderful little Veronica.

There's something quite special about growing alpines and or rock garden midget sized treasures. In my view its a whole new upscaling in one's gardening skills, although its downsizing nodding !...the rock, screes or boulders or whatever one may have the possibility of adding are from a strictly growing view just for ornament and the spreading out of individual plants. Rocks do charge up heat so they may also act as heat reservoirs during cold nights, so they may have a needed extra role. I haven't found any science around this, but there's no reason why it ought to be completely discarded. It definitely calls for detailed attention in a much finer tuned way.
So of all of my garden projects its the last one. But it is by far where my spirit dwells best! *Blush* Thus my interest in N.American Penstemons, Lewisias, Eriogonums, Townsendias ,etc . Of course a collection of saxifragas would decidedly become a new addiction or mouth watering Dionysias, Androsaces....it would go on for ever. No Alpine nurseries around in this part of the world....(fortunately because I'd be broke... Whistling ) So my path is much slower. ( all has to be started by seeds Smiling )
Thanks Thank You! Lyn for posting your acquisitions it gives me a good excuse in getting myself acquainted with all those little guys.
Arturo
