Colortart has marginal branching I think. It is a slow grower, but none of the bloom stalks have been good. Have to see it "clump up" and see if that makes a difference.

I got rid of Colortart for many of the reasons you mentioned, and the blooms didn't last very long either. Great garden shots, with lots of buds still to open!

I am so glad I ask you guys about these iris before I go out and buy. Nice to get all the feedback from those who are pros at growing iris. If the iris founders in your gardens, then it probably won't see out a season in mine. I tip my hat to you.

Hurray! Elizabethian Age is on that list. Is it a good grower? Love the coloring. Brown Lasso too. The Pink Vanilla really stands out against the blues and purples in the group shot. Beautiful stuff.

Got EA last year, was surprised it bloomed. Brown Lasso is a must. It has average growing traits, but it is a DM and unusual.
