My cousin's amazing Japanese maple and conifer collection, kept in pots around his home. The spring colors were so vibrant and the conifers so nicely offset the maples. Sorry for the glare, it was a very sunny day. For more info, here's his web site: http://amazingmaples.net/

I went with Deb and had a fabulous time. The maples are not just placed here and there but strategically placed by color and height. Was not a flower in site but all the foliage was almost neon! Thanks so much Deb had a wonderful time. I even have 2 maples coming week!!! Green Grin! Hurray! Hurray!

I posted this quite some time ago in the Garden Photo forum, but thought it might be more appropriate in the new maple forum. Admins: if I have requested this twice, please forgive me. I thought about it, but don't remember if I actually made the request or not...age related...

Will I get a notice when/if this thread is actually moved? Or if my request is declined for some reason? I don't think I've ever requested a move before. And what is the usual turn-around?

@Calif_Sue Sorry to bother you, but I am unclear what the procedure is for moving threads. I submitted a 'Suggest a Change' on Sep 8, and perhaps an earlier one as well. So far, no action has been taken, and I am not sure how/when to expect it to. Could you clarify how this process works? Or should I direct my request to one of the owners? Just seems the new Maple forum would be a more appropriate place for these photos, all taken by me. Alternatively, I could just recreate a similar post for the Maple forum. These are all spring photos, and I may get around to taking a bunch of fall photos as well. Thanks for any insight. Deb

I guess just delete this thread in its entirety. It's in the wrong spot. I apparently don't know how to move it. Should I just manually delete all my photos and start over? Frustrating.

Deb I can't wait to see what your cousin's trees look like now. How long has he been growing/collecting maples?

My maples haven't turned yet, and he's about a half hour south of me, so a bit ahead of me but not by much. I'll see him at a family event tomorrow and arrange for a time to go snap fall pics. Not sure how long he's been collecting, several years. His trees are regularly featured in our local Flower & Garden Show held in Seattle, as he has a lot of very mature (high caliper) trees. In addition to those in his own yard, he also keeps many at his parents' place, which is more formally landscaped. I'll take some photos of their place tomorrow.

I have watched many of your cousins videos and been to his website. I enjoy the videos very much. But... I can't figure out... does he sell trees? He talks about them "going out". Sometimes. I need help finding a particular variety.thanks
