I was browsing through the database and I noticed that there is a very old (1950) daylily called Serenity. There's no picture, nor is there one at www.daylilies.org. Does anybody know anything about this daylily?

never saw it. Sorry. Did you do a google search? Maybe you could search the hybidizer and his or her plants might be located that way?

I gave it a try but it is a tough search with only one word and that word occurring from gardening to Buddhism to romance.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.

Thank you! The daylily was listed as being orange so I would have totally missed this!

Yes, I saw it but it was the wrong colour. I think it might be a photographer's creative title?

That's possible. I emailed her asking where she purchased the flower from. Hopefully she'll get back to me (and actually remember) so I can get to the bottom of the mystery.

Some people have mislabeled plants too. I have never seen the flower so I have no idea, but that is the only pic I found that claimed to be it.

Amazing how plants frequently look like their names.
