Pokeman
Thumb of 2014-05-18/tveguy3/01cc3d Thumb of 2014-05-18/tveguy3/d0be65

They look a lot alike on here, but Pokeman is darker. I wouldn't doubt that they may be sibs. I'll have to check that out.

I got an order of lilies and tulips from Hydes in England this year, and surprisingly the shipping and export papers were not that much, especially compared to the savings in plants.

What kind of English do they speak over there? I had a hard time understanding Mr. Hyde, LOL.

Actually the price was not bad, the exchange rate is favorable right now. I got 2 new into's and 3 others plus shipping for less then $140. They should be arriving in June.

Don't worry about those Cayeux iris, Tom! I'm getting some also, and the "fine print" in the catalog said they are all bi-lingual( but I sent for the "French for Dummies" booklet, anyway!) , but, come to think of it, they didn't actually say their other language was English Confused ....Arlyn

Well you better learn some French or the irises you get won't understand you when you are urging them to grow and bloom! Hilarious!

I sent them an English (or is it "American English) email and they responded wonderfully (on my request to use said pictures).

Besides French & English, they also converse in German, Spanish, & Italian!

PS Don't blame me for your weakness vis a vis posting pictures that "Make" you buy more rhizomes. Especially overseas rhizomes (isn't this what all enables say? I am not at fault) lol Rolling my eyes.

Oh well, so It's been a drizzly day and I couldn't work on my new memorial bed so I went to the garden center. Oh my Here's some picks of my day. First the memorial garden space that I marked out yesterday and killed the grass. The small apricot tree on the left died, and I'm not going to replace it, so it will be gone. The plum tree on the other end is not to healthy either, so it may not be long for the world.
