Where do those posts go sometimes??? I wonder?
Your "quietyard" looks pretty too, Linda. That's a great user name!
Ric, I had a huge Colocasia on the left end of that bed last year but that was the one that drowned this Spring when the seasonal stream kept rising into that area.
Is Jack's Giant the same as Thailand Giant? I want some of the black EE as well as some other colors (or are those only Alocasias?). Any recommendations? There are a few colorful Caladiums back there that are just coming up.
That bed has been the bane of my gardening existance here so far. I've gotten poison ivy from working back there at least three or four times this year and a few times last year. I sprayed (you can see the dead stuff in one of the shots) but not sure I got it all. It creeps out of the woods when and where you least expect it sometimes.
LOL. The edging for that bed is one of my reclaimed/repurposed yard art projects in progress. It's made of inexpensive pieces of white edging bought on Clearance at Kmart last Fall, 3L wine bottles turned upside down with necks in the ground, old sea shells and various other components like burned out solar lights (one has the red glass vase glued on top of it - nice in the morning sun - going to do more of those). The chainlink has the beginning of the "faces on the fence" collection.
Thrift store finds and after hanging them there, I've decided to add more. Maybe they'll scare off the poison ivy!!
