Love this Itoh more than Yumi, Misake, or Keiko. It is hardy and full of blooms. I planted it last fall and so far it is about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide with at least 20 buds. Enjoy.

I agree Do the petals lighten to near white over time?

Holy Cow!! How old was it when you planted it. Must have been at least a 5-6 year plant.

I just bought Takara this spring. I'll have to find a place for it in the back of the border, if it gets that tall.

Here is a picture of the same flower today. Second pic is of the entire plant with three more blooms opened today. It was a 5 gallon Itoh from Monrovia that I bought in July or August last year for $48. And yes, it lightens up over a period of about 2 weeks.

Beautiful blooms gray. My plant is still in the pot. I'll plant it this fall in the garden. It was also a 5 gallon Monrovia grown plant that I bought from Pikes. Now that I've seen your plants blooms, I'm looking forward to hopefully get some blooms next year.
