This graceful beauty, I found weaving itself into trees., the area was very close to the sea, almost on the beach. But later I found a smaller young one deeper into the forest too.

You found so many gems Myriam! Lovely shots of what I feel sure is Bomarea in the family Alstroemeriaceae. I tried to grow one once, got one plant which was short lived. Sad

Bomarea edulis is in Rio de Janeiro but I haven't checked others ..

You're spot on Janet! Hurray! That is the one! I knew the shape of the seed pod looked somehow familiar, just didn't come up with Alstroemeriaceae family! Rolling my eyes.
Sad you lost yours! Sad
If I had found ripe seed pods I would have collected seed!
