very nice!

Here is Miracle - I got her in a co op. This Spring is the first I have seen some real color on her. I am pleased she isn't 'just another green heuchera!'

Very pretty! I like to haunt all the plant sales and nurseries this time of year to find the unusual varieties!
I just may need to go back and buy another Caramel...
I'm hoping to find more colorful ones to add color to my shady gardens!

I just bought and planted some Heuchera this year. I think they will look great with my Hostas. I will buy more for the shade garden as the season progresses.
This is Caramel

Cindy -

Welcome - Heuchera do look great with hostas. I put in a bed last year with both the heuchera and the hostas and I am quite anxious to see how they look this summer.

Weeding - check out the cubit 'Ellas' Garden' and go to 2010 Perennial Group Buy - I believe she has some left - they are plugs, but Ella is reputable....

Sherill - I have both the Peach Melba and the Stormy Seas and they do well for me. Your's look great - what zone are you in?

Carolyn, I am in zone 7ish-wannabe8 lol I'm in Fort Worth TX which is sort of on the border of 7 and 8. My heucheras in the back are very fat and happy but it's shady there all the time pretty much at least where they are planted anyway. My house faces east and they are behind the house so they always are in that shadow. I should have the names of those somewhere because they were mail order. The sharpie washed off of the markers on everything in the backyard.

We only have one Heuchera so far but are looking for more that will make it in the Texas heat. I have been reading up and will probably get several this Fall. Maggi planted this one early last year and I just love it. We have over an acre and there is lots of room to fill in with Heucheras.

This is Southern Comfort;

Here's my Marmalade, it's HUGE now, the leaves are bigger than my hand. I'm just so impressed by it! I love Heucheras!

Sherill, how long have you been growing Heuchera. I had never heard of them until Maggi planted a couple last Spring. Only one made it but I am not sure why. I see you have several that are not really ratewd for the south but seem to be doing fine. I lived in Fort Worth most of my life and am now just a little over a two hour drive from you. It is more humid here but I don't think that should bother Heucheras. I see from your pictures that you must be in black gumbo soil, we are in slightly acidic red clay with lots of compost added. Thanks for any help you can give me for growing the lovely plants.
