Don't know what they are other than the Japanese honeysuckle but here are a few. The one with the red flower may be Indian Pink or Pink Root (Spigelia marilandica). Any thoughts?

The second flower might be oxeye daisy, Leucanthemum vulgare.

I think you have the next one right, Spigelia marilandica. That is a beautiful flower, and at the top of my 'want' list! Great hummingbird plant.

Not sure about #4...

Christine there must be 200 of those Spigelia marilandica ready to bloom at the back wooded portion of my property. Will post some more photos of it when it blooms fully.

Ladies I wish you could come by here. Took a few photos yesterday in the wooded section that we don't keep maintained. The area is full of these.

They are under a lot of big trees in shade though some filtered sun hits some spots early in the day and other spots later in the day. I know. *Blush* That doesn't help much does it? I would have to characterize the area as overall bright shade.

Well it's sloped out there and we let it do what it wants back there so it gets Tennessee rain and nothing else. It stays relatively moist but not at all soggy. They ground is firm when you walk there. I'll go out and take a couple of photos of the general area. May do a better job of explaining than I am doing.

Ok we have a light rain going on and its 6:30 pm. This is what it looks like back there as of 20 minutes ago. Those hickory trees are between 65 and 80 ft tall and the only real sun that gets in there is where the open canopies are. Hope this helps.

Yes, thank you Dave! I have the correct lighting conditions, very much like yours. So all that remains is the moisture. I can't get water to that area so if it rains enough then things will be moist at least underneath. If it doesn't rain enough, well, we'll just have to see how they survive.
