Thanks!! I'm still working on this, planning, researching etc. I have decided ALL my hosta are going in here (they get too much sun where they are) but there will still be space (and need) for more.

Sheri, you might take a gander over to the shade thread in my cubit. It's in the Garden Tours forum. We also have a Hosta thread. You might get some ideas there.
My sister and I will be moving my hosta over Memorial day weekend. I'll post pitures after that. $$ is tight right now so I'm not sure any more will be done this spring.
All the Hosta are moved to their new happy shady spot!! They should be very happy here. Now I'll have to decide what else to add! (of course some Heuchera for sure!)
Before we began but after we pulled weeds:
Bag of weeds:
Jeannie taking a little break:
digging the trench for the edging Hosta:
Alll done!
The empty hole is where 'Elvis Lives' will go. DH and I will take care of that later this week.
Aruba and Cayman (RIP little buddies) will go under the hosta.
DH is only helping because we are putting Cayman and Aruba to rest under the 'Elvis Lives' hosta! He does some of the garden stuff though just not this type of project.
I have no clue what type of tree it is. I asked DH and he said it is a 'Wooden Tree' : I'm guessing he doesn't know either.
You really should try to ID the tree. Maple trees can really keep hosta and other plants from flourishing because of their surface roots. They can rob the plants of moisture.
