Counted 21 fat caterpillars on my milkweed plants this week. Can't wait till they transform into beautiful butterflies.

Nice Monarch caterpillars!

I'm really excited to see them so plentiful and healthy this year. Last year for some reason, most of the caterpillars didn't finish the process, and also had a few cases of o.e. Very sad.

Caterpillars and butterflies are always welcome here!

Sadly, I think I've got some OE going on right now. I also had at least one caterpillar parasatized. I guess the good news is that the Monarchs seem to be on a bit of a break right now so I'm hoping the milkweed will grow back healthy and my next crop of caterpillars will do better. Unfortunately, it just happens sometimes. Glad to see other Monarch growers out there! Keep up the good work!

Same here, half way round the planet. Did not see them [4 in all] after two days. They had probably gone to make the chrysalis in the nearby bushy vine. But I saw one or two butterflies - this is a Plain Tiger - fluttering 4 days after - yesterday.

Dinu, that looks like a Queen caterpillar. Do you have those in India? I didn't think they were that widespread.

Nice pic, Danu! I found this butterfly, which might be the one. The caterpillars DO look like Queen caterpillars!

Wow! There's a very subtle difference there, but they do look like our Queen cats! They're like Asian cousin butterflies; how cool is that? I love seeing international posters on this website. They always post stuff that blows my mind. Thanks, Dinu! Glad to know butterflies on the other side of the world are doing well.
